On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, MAISON&OBJET has chosen to work with Business and Creative Intelligence consultant agency Nelly Rodi, to examine new consumer trends driven by the new generation and the subsequent influences on business. As thought leaders on this subject, MAISON&OBJET reveals its new theme for 2020:
MAISON&OBJET is delighted to announce Michael Anastassiades as Designer of the Year for its January 2020 edition. The London based designer founded his studio in 1994 and his eponymous brand in 2007.  With a host of world-renowned collaborations to his name including Flos, B&B Italia, Herman Miller, Cassina and Bang & Olufsen, his work spans across lighting, furniture, objects and spatial design. Exploring contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics, his designs are recognizable for their honest use of materials, familiarity of form and clarity of function.
In a nod to its 25th anniversary,  for the January 2020 session, MAISON&OBJET has chosen to showcase French Rising Talents.  A jury panel made up of design and architecture personalities such as Pierre Charpin (Designer), Pierre Yovanovitch (Interior Architect), Didier Krzentowski (Director of Kréo Gallery), René Jacques Mayer (Director of Camondo), Françoise Seince (Director of Ateliers de Paris) and Guillaume Houzé (Directeur of  Lafayette Anticipation Foundation) will come together soon to decide on the winners.
