14SEPTEMBRE, a communication and reputation consulting firm part of extreme Group since January 2023, has just reached a significant milestone in its development and transition, adopting the French government’s legal framework of Mission Purpose Companies (“Société à mission”).
First introduced by the PACTE law of May 2019, this framework requires companies to set themselves a purpose supported by core and operational goals, and develop the corresponding actions and indicators to integrate environmental and social concerns into their business models.
This Purpose drives and shapes the work of 14SEPTEMBRE’s collaborators every day: ‘We believe that creativity is the answer to solving social and environmental challenges. To support creative people and businesses, we weave ties around their shared passion for Beautiful Designs, Good Food and Virtuous Initiatives, to nurture the Art of Living Together.’
This has inspired three by-laws, which have been set out in the company’s Articles of association:
#1 Honouring our values — commitment, altruism and creativity — across the company by cultivating skills and respecting each employee’s needs and expectations.
#2 Promoting all forms of creation — to our audiences, clients and partners by focusing on long-term return, within the limits of planetary boundaries.
#3 Mobilising our networks — to accelerate the sustainable transition across our industries and build more sustainable communication practices.
This sustainable approach aligns with the values and Sustainability Policy of extreme Group, a collective of unfailingly optimistic women and men who believe that a company’s economic growth is intricately linked to social progress.
14SEPTEMBRE's approach also aligns with extreme Group’s purpose: ‘To nurture and care' for its collaborators, partners and clients.
The decision to adopt the Mission Purpose Company framework was taken by the Managing Board, whose dedicated members work every day to ensure that no aspect of the business is left unchallenged. To assist with our initiative, 14SEPTEMBRE has sought guidance and insight from both internal and external contributors who keep track of the progress made and the way still to go.
